Technosens won the Digital-In-Pulse 2015 award in the smart buildings category. The startup, which had previously won a French Ministry of Research award, once again earned kudos for its revolutionary e-lio system, developed in conjunction with IRT Nanoelec. e-lio is pioneering advances in solutions for the silver economy by enabling made-to-measure responses for enhancing wellness and care for the elderly on the booming homecare market.
Technosens specializes in getting building-management technologies to work together. The company’s first product, e-lio, developed for eldercare facilities, uses the TV as the main screen in the living area. It enables the TV to interact with a variety of devices, from home automation to medical systems, and offers the patient or resident access to a multitude of services, from meals and remote assistance to traceability and supervision. e-lio takes the form of a compact “box” that simply plugs into the TV, allowing eldercare facilities to offer more services while reducing spending.
The Digital-In-Pulse award supports France-based innovative companies developing solutions to improve safety, the Internet of Things, and smart buildings. The award recognizes innovations developed by France-based startups and small businesses. Recipients win a trip to China to meet with potential customers and IT industry organizations in partnership with Business France, France’s national export agency.
