Smart systems training module now available at Esynov platform

The Esynov (formerly SACCO) embedded electronic and radiofrequency systems platform, set up in December 2014, is now offering new training modules with the support of IRT Nanoelec.

The new training modules will meet the needs of micro and nanoelectronics professionals and companies that integrate micro and nanoelectronic solutions into their products. Specifically, these users need engineers with advanced technical know-how and the capacity to work on multidisciplinary projects to develop increasingly complex systems.

Last fall (Oct.–Dec. 2015) 45 engineering students from Grenoble Institute of Technology’s Esisar school completed group projects requiring technical know-how from a variety of fields, from IT, electronics, and automation to safety and security. One of the projects, Crazyfile 2.0, mobilized two student groups tasked with developing functions like surveillance and collision-avoidance on a drone using a set of open-source codes and circuits provided for the project.

The students particularly appreciated the diversity of project topics and the opportunity to work in groups.

More recently, another group of student engineers from Esisar came to Esynov for hands-on training to develop a web app to send data from sensors via a Java EE app server and database.
