A day-long meeting on fault injection for physical attacks, software protection, and robustness mechanisms was held on May 29, 2018 in Jussieu.
Around 60 experts from academia, government (data protection and defense), and industry attended the meeting. The event was affiliated with the Hardware Systems Security Working Group (common to the SoC2 and IS Security Research Groups). The purpose of the meeting was to bring together France’s research community in the field of fault analysis for systems security. Several aspects were addressed: fault-injection attacks and fault models, simulation and formal methods for understanding the impact of faults, proof of security, countermeasures, and more. IRT Nanoelec attended, taking advantage of the opportunity to present the research conducted under the CLAPS project (PULSE program).
