The Grenoble Institute of Technology Foundation Chairs of Excellence were created to:
- Foster advances in science for the common good and in response to the challenges facing civil society and the industry addressed by the Chair
- Support the international dissemination of research conducted in France and, especially, by Grenoble Institute of Technology labs
The TRUST Chair, inaugurated on November 10, 2016, focuses on trust in systems, a topic that is both strategic to industrial companies and rich with opportunities to create new knowledge. Grenoble Institute of Technology took advantage of the opportunities brought by this Chair to strengthen its related academic programs and overhaul the associated hands-on learning experiences and student projects. The school is now better positioned to respond to business’ recruitment needs in the fields of safety and security and can more effectively disseminate the results of its research in these fields.
These changes will also help the school prepare for certification by ANSSI, France’s information security agency, providing the school’s partners with the guarantee that the training programs offered comply with the latest security requirements. ANSSI certification of programs offered at Grenoble Institute of Technology’s Esisar school will also be immediately recognizable by professionals from the world of industry.
