The French National Center for Scientific Research has joined the IRT Nanoelec characterization program. The CNRS Subatomic Physics and Cosmology Lab, or LPSC (a joint research unit of the CNRS and Grenoble-Alpes University’s IN2P3 lab), will make its rapid neutron irradiation platform available, rounding out the services on offer by PAC-G (Platform for Advanced Characterization – Grenoble), which encompasses the CEA, ILL, and ESRF. The equipment, called GENEPI2, can be used to study microelectronic circuit faults under a neutron beam offering a different energy range than ILL’s D50 beamline.
