Summer School Green Electronics
From 15 to 19 June 2026, the second edition of the SUSTAIN-E summer school on sustainable electronics took place, organised by GreenChips-EDU, LabEx Microelectronics, DESIRE4EU, EECONE and the Sinano Institute. It is also supported by IRT Nanoelec and Unite!.
Students, PhD candidates, researchers and experts from across Europe came together to discuss the major challenges facing the electronics of the future. The programme covered eco-design, circularity, materials recycling, sustainable microelectronics, power electronics, technological frugality, geopolitics and innovations for more responsible electronics. The week featured poster presentation sessions and networking opportunities. Masterclasses led by experts were held, notably one by Laurent Griot, a professor at Grenoble Ecole de Management, entitled ‘Sustainable electronics in the age of economic coercion’.
