Ils ont opt\u00e9 pour la co-localisation des ressources : les chercheurs impliqu\u00e9s sur un projet, quelle que soit l\u2019organisation dont ils d\u00e9pendent, viennent travailler sur le site de l\u2019IRT avec les autres membres du projet. Ils y collaborent avec les ressources R&amp;D propres \u00e0 l\u2019IRT parmi lesquelles figurent de nombreux doctorants et post-doctorants.<\/p>\n<p>Les IRT sont positionn\u00e9s sur des fili\u00e8res strat\u00e9giques pour la France et au croisement de disciplines technique et scientifique et d&#8217;autres fili\u00e8res ce qui favorise l\u2019inspiration et la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019innovations entre diff\u00e9rents domaines industriels.<\/p>\n<p>Ils couvrent ainsi 8 th\u00e9matiques cl\u00e9s : technologies num\u00e9riques, microbiologie, usine du futur, mat\u00e9riaux, m\u00e9tallurgie et proc\u00e9d\u00e9s, \u00e9lectronique, syst\u00e8mes ferroviaires, a\u00e9ronautique, espace, syst\u00e8mes embarqu\u00e9s et ing\u00e9nierie num\u00e9rique des syst\u00e8mes.<\/p>\n<p>Au sein de l&#8217;association f\u00e9d\u00e9rative FIT, les 8 IRT sont regroup\u00e9s avec 7 autres instituts (ITE) ax\u00e9s sur la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique dans diff\u00e9rents secteurs industriels. Il est bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Grenoble, un p\u00f4le de premier rang mondial pour la recherche, l\u2019innovation et la production dans cette fili\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>Les programmes de R&amp;D de Nanoelec sont construits collectivement par des acteurs acad\u00e9miques et industriels. Ils portent sur la conception et la mise au point de nouveaux proc\u00e9d\u00e9s, des syst\u00e8mes et des composants dans les domaines suivants :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Images : nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&#8217;\u00e9crans et d&#8217;imageurs,<\/li>\n<li>Confiance num\u00e9rique et frugalit\u00e9 sur les objets connect\u00e9s et l&#8217;IA embarqu\u00e9e<\/li>\n<li>Calcul haute performance (via la photonique et l&#8217;ordinateur quantique)<\/li>\n<li>Caract\u00e9risation et r\u00e9sistance aux rayonnements des composants et des syst\u00e8mes \u00e0 l&#8217;aide de grands instruments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>L\u2019IRT Nanoelec conduit aussi des programmes d\u2019ing\u00e9nierie de formation et de diffusion technologique aupr\u00e8s des PME et les startup. Et la R&amp;D men\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019IRT Nanoelec permet d\u2019anticiper sur la ma\u00eetrise des technologies \u00e9mergentes qui affecteront les circuits int\u00e9gr\u00e9s, comme l\u2019int\u00e9gration 3D et la photonique sur silicium. Ces technologies, compl\u00e9mentaires aux technologies CMOS largement utilis\u00e9es aujourd\u2019hui, repr\u00e9sentent un \u00e9norme potentiel de march\u00e9. Elles ouvrent la porte \u00e0 des fonctionnalit\u00e9s et des performances de circuits int\u00e9gr\u00e9s am\u00e9lior\u00e9es, en particulier dans les domaines du calcul intensif et du traitement d\u2019images.<\/p>\n<p>La micro-nano\u00e9lectronique constitue un march\u00e9 majeur qui devrait atteindre de l\u2019ordre de 500 milliards d\u2019euros en 2025. Son impact atteint 12 % de la richesse \u00e9conomique globale (\u00e0 titre d\u2019exemple l\u2019automobile n\u2019en repr\u00e9sente que 10 %).
