SiPearl is building the world\u2019s first low-consumption microprocessor specifically for high-performance computing and designed to operate with any third-party accelerator (GPU, AI, quantum). It aims to be the core of Europe\u2019s supercomputers.<\/p>\n<\/div>                <\/div>\n                \n                   \n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n\n    <div class=\"spacer hide-md h-20\"><\/div>\n    <div class=\"spacer hide show-md h-20\"><\/div>\n\n\n    <section class=\" section-normal push-edito \" id=\"block-block_a8beb36f59064b2199647d42ef900c39\">\n        <div class=\"container\">\n            <div class=\"flex gap-6 items-center flex-md-column-reverse flex-row-reverse\">\n                                                                    <div class=\"col-sm-12 flex-1 relative\">\n                                <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/irtnanoelec.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/SiPearl_Projet_EasyTech-BD.png\" alt=\"L\u2019\u00e9quipe Sipearl autour du projet Nanoelec\/Easytech(c) Sipearl\n\n\" class=\"rounded-3xl wp-100 object-cover block max-w-688 max-h-688\"  loading=\"lazy\" ><div class=\"image-description mt-4\">L\u2019\u00e9quipe Sipearl autour du projet Nanoelec\/Easytech(c) Sipearl\n\n<\/div>                                                            <\/div>\n                                                        <div class=\"bg-neutral-0 z-9 flex justify-center flex-column col-sm-12 flex-1\">\n                    <div class=\"description\"><p><em>\u201cOur ambition is to be the leading designer of high-end microprocessors in France and in Europe\u201d,\u00a0<\/em>explains Vincent Casillas, SVP R&amp;D Software at SiPearl.<em>\u00a0\u201cWith our Rhea microprocessor, we aim to contribute to Europe\u2019s technological sovereignty in the critical fields of artificial intelligence, medical research, combating climate change and energy management.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Under an Easytech contract in 2022, SiPearl and Grenoble INP-UGA developed advanced functionalities on RISC-V[1]\u00a0coprocessors present in the Rhea chip designed for supercomputers and data centers.<em>\u00a0\u201cThese coprocessors will provide security and power supply management functions for the ARM Neoverse V1 computer cores\u201d,\u00a0<\/em>says Vincent Casillas.<em>\u00a0\u201cThe main technological hurdle for this project was the fact that the chip itself was only at the design stage! But we could not afford to waste time because the advanced functionalities to be developed on these dedicated micro-controllers will have a significant impact on differentiation with respect to the offerings from the competition.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the Easytech project, SiPearl had a solution for testing the Rhea bootload sequence[2]\u00a0as well as the tools allowing automatic start-up and execution of unit and functional tests on the coprocessors<em>. \u201cThis solution allows shorter iterations in the development phases, while ensuring the stability of the functionalities already developed and tested.
