Vincent Marcatté (President, Association of French Institutes of Technology) speaks before French Parliament’s scientific and technical advisory committee

Vincent Marcatté, President of the Association of French Institutes of Technology (FIT) that unites the country’s IRTs, spoke before the French Parliament’s scientific and technical advisory committee on June 30 at a public hearing open to the press. The hearing, on research and technology transfer, was chaired by Representative Jean-Yves Le Déaut.

The public hearing was part of the French Parliament scientific and technical advisory committee assessment of the nation’s research strategy required by the Higher Education and Research Act passed on July 22, 2013. The assessment consists of a full review of all programs to promote the transfer of research results to the market and identify areas for improvement. One particular focus area will be intellectual property.
