Post-event report: Singaporean Ambassador to France comes to Grenoble

The Singaporean Ambassador to France, Zainal Arif Mantaha, and several of his cabinet members visited IRT Nanoelec on November 29, 2017.
The Ambassador was particularly interested in technologies for the silver economy, smart cities, and driverless cars. The visit included a presentation of the PULSE program (which addresses bridge technologies from a user perspective and provides support to businesses) that highlighted the program’s value in terms of transferring the technologies developed at the bridge technology platforms to businesses.

The Singaporean Ambassador to France, Zainal Arif Mantaha, and several of his cabinet members took advantage of their time on the MINATEC campus to tour the IRT Nanoelec Bridge Technology Platform.
Members of our consortium of Grenoble-based partners presented IRT Nanoelec with a focus on the PULSE program and, specifically, on data security for IoT. The Ambassador and his advisors then toured the integration and experimentation labs, where they saw Silver Lab and Hub Energy demos.
The Singaporean government recently contracted with French company Hydrao to supply connected shower heads for 10,000 homes.
Singapore, a city-state, has one of the world’s highest population densities and is thus particularly concerned with water conservation. The government’s Smart Nation initiative aims to use new technologies and, especially, digital technology, to create solutions to the challenges it is facing.

The Ambassador’s day continued with tours of Schneider Electric, STMicroelectronics, and Hydrao, all partners of IRT Nanoelec.
